Preschools in Reno/Sparks, Nevada.?

So, my son is getting ready to go into preschool. We are originally from Colorado and New York. My older sons went to preschool in both states and it was actually preschool… $85/mo, 2 hr days, three days a week. The school did not operate out side of those hours. And while the kids were there, it was school… a lot of crafts and games, but still a schedule that was the exact same every day, where they sat at desks, etc.
So, we move to Nevada and all their ‘preschools’ here are daycares, open from 6am to 6pm, $300-400/mo (because it is daycare!), from ages 6 WEEKS to 6 yrs… a 6 week old isn’t old enough for preschool.. hello, red flag, it is a day care… so call it that…
anyway, off my soap box…
Does anyone know of a preschool in the area that is a real preschool… not a daycare. I am driving myself nuts searching through the sites because all the day cares list them selves as preschools.. ugh.

I know what you’re asking, but I don’t know if this will help. The Washoe County School District has a free Early Childhood Preschool Program that currently serves 21 sites in Washoe County. The website for more information is http://www.washoe.k12.nv.us/earlychildhood/
